Aged Care

Providing excellence in aged care has been the vision of Torbay since our inception in 1977.

Torbay provides residential aged care (hostel and nursing home) through our two locations in Hervey Bay (Torbay-Torquay and Parklands Urangan). Our residential aged care services are available to anyone who qualifies under the Aged Care Act 1997.

Residential aged care is provided to people with moderate care needs ("low care" or "hostel care") through to those with more complex care needs ("Nursing Homes").

We are happy to help you and your family through the maze of aged care rules and regulations.

Just remember everyone can afford residential aged care and most can afford Extra Services. The popular belief that Extra Services is only available to the rich is not true at Torbay-Torquay as we have designed our Extra Service to be afforded by most pensioners.

Torbay-Torquay has gained a reputation for excellent care and offers a full range of care services including specialised dementia care and palliative care. Parklands Urangan is newly established and, at this stage, offers only low and high care. When completed it will have a full range of care services.

Our care is provided by our qualified and dedicated staff who strive to personalised the provision of care to meet your needs.

You will find when you visit our homes that we have a range of social and activity programs to assist you to maintain your independence and lifestyle. We encourage and support you to maintain your ties with family and the general community.
