We held another STAFF vs RESIDENTS bowls challenge recently with the Retirement Living residents at our Torbay Village after our very successful inaugural challenge last year (when Torbay turned 40!). This event was well attended and provided some competitive banter, with the Staff Team dressing up in Hawaiian outfits in an effort to try and put off their much more capable and experienced bowls competition. Of course, this strategy didn’t work with the residents’ teams coming out as the outright winners!

With a sausage sizzle to finish off, this little competition provided for a nice break in the standard working week – and the staff’s lack of bowls prowess provided some light entertainment for the bowls regulars! I am sure the challenge will be thrown forth again next year……
